Welcome and Happy New Year-
It is a pleasure and an honor to represent the citizens of District Six and the City of Chattanooga as we continue to grow and celebrate our successes together, whether it be protecting our neighborhoods, preserving our environment or creating new jobs. Do we still have work to do? Absolutely!
As we begin the new year, join me in celebrating our accomplishments over the past 11 months: Five neighborhoods were awarded Neighborhood Partners Program funds; plans have been developed and are being implemented for the first public art installation; the Recycling Center opened, the first phase of enhancements to the Levee are complete; and the Police Department introduced to District 6 its Police Interaction Committee. I held the 5th District 6 Summit and this time we focused on education and the wealth of opportunities available in our District that will help prepare our citizens for jobs with VW and other major corporations.
As we move foward over the next four years, I will continue to listen to your needs and work with you to help unite our residential and business communities and to ensure that you receive quality representation.
I will continue to be accountable to you for the decisions I make both on your behalf and on behalf of the City and welcome your input and feedback at anytime.
Working together, we will make District Six a prosperous place to live and
work!
