Dear District 6

I began in 2008 by committing to working together with residents, businesses, community organizations and property owners to make District 6 a prosperous place to live, work and play.

With your involvement and input, a Master Redevelopment Plan was created that identified what you said makes a great community. This plan has served as the guide for progress that has taken place in our District. For full details, click here.

I have been addressing the challenges of safety in our community by partnering with our police officers and our neighborhood associations to take back our neighborhoods. We continue to work on those issues and I am proud of the support District 6 has shown for working together.  If you want to get involved with this effort, attend the monthly Community Police Interaction Committee [CPIC] meetings on the 2nd Thursday of each month. 6:30 p.m. at  the Shepherd Community Center.

Water quality issues have been significant in District 6 and the public and private sector have been willing to work with me to formulate plans that focus on repairing the problems to meet federal requirements, reduce the financial hardship and provide a more durable environment and better quality of life.

Thank you for your continued support. I will continue to be accountable to you for the decisions I make both on your behalf and on behalf of the City and ensure that you receive quality representation. As always, I welcome your input and feedback at any time.
