Supplemental Environmental Project

The Supplemental Environmental Project (SEP) developed by the City Water Quality Program is a stormwater project with Tennessee Department of Environment and Conservation (TDEC).

The result is a green infrastructure project in Midtown near the Chattanooga Airport.  The project fixes stormwater runoff issues while improving the design, appearance, and livability of the area.

According to the City of Chattanooga website, “While separately administered and funded, this project is intended to work in conjunction with the creation of city-wide Standards for Runoff Reduction, this pilot project will demonstrate the effectiveness of the program.”
